We have been told today by Hayley Conlan of The Staying Well Team that there have been cases reported where unscrupulous individuals are turning up on people’s doorsteps saying they are from Staying Well or even Healthwatch and that they have been referred to them. These people then extort money from vulnerable people by getting them to buy furniture, aids etc.
DO NOT open your door to anyone you do not know or who you are not expecting. Officials from Staying Well or Healthwatch do not turn up unannounced and would not try to sell you anything.
