We know you all love to come to your classes but our tutors do need a break sometimes, so all our classes will close for the Easter Break on Friday 7th April and re-open on Monday 24th April. The only exception to this will be our Art Group who will still meet on Thursdays at The Addy during this period.
Our ever popular summer event of Afternoon Tea at Highgate will be held on Friday, 7 July this year. This is a free event for all members of High Five, so come along at 2.00pm with your class friends and have a chat over tea, sandwiches and cakes.
There will be no Gentle Exercise, Pilates and Scottish Dancing classes during week commencing 16 May.
All classes are closed for Spring Bank Holiday week, 29th May to 2 June 2017 inclusive.
Classes during August generally will be closed for the whole month commencing 31 July, resuming week commencing 4 September. However, our Singing and Tai Chi classes will only be closed for 2 weeks commencing 21 August, resuming on 4 September.
We are pleased to announce that, due to the increasing popularity of our Tuesday morning Gentle Exercise Class at Highgate, our Tutor Sue Watson will be starting another class there at the beginning of May.
The new class will start at 11.00am every Tuesday, so if you’re interested in coming along for the first class on 2nd May, please give her a ring on 07964 713 926 for more details.

Remember how we all have a wonderful time at the Staying Well event at the beginning of December? Well, now’s your chance to have another one.
If you missed this the first time around, the good news is the Staying Well Team are holding another event on Monday, 10th April 2017. This time, it will be held at Warley Road U R Church (New Hope) at Highroad Well, from 10.30am until 1.30pm and, once again, there’ll be a free lunch provided.
Don’t miss this opportunity to find out what fun and healthy activities we at High Five offer the neighbourhood at our weekday classes, and find out how the Staying Well Team can help you to link into other social activities in the area.
One local resident who came last time said “What a fantastic afternoon I’ve had, a really lovely day out”. So do come along for an interesting day out with a free lunch too.
St. Columba’s Church Hall is being renovated over the next 5 weeks. So, with effect from Tuesday, 7th March 2017, our Tai Chi class will be temporarily held at Pellon Social Club, Moor End Road. during that period.
Our AGM this year will be held at Highgate Church on Friday, 10th March at 2.00pm.

If you have any ideas you would like to be considered for an event in the future, there’ll be a Suggestion Box available on the day. High Five Committee welcomes any member to join them in running the Group, just ask your tutor for a nomination form prior to the AGM and bring it along with you on the day and give it to our secretary, Margaret, prior to the start of the meeting .
After the business meeting is finished, our Singing Group will once again entertain us. We are delighted to announce that we’ve arranged for a local podiatrist, Debbie, to come and talk to us about foot health. Tea and biscuits will be served afterwards.
